Roz is a disillusioned, single millennial, working in a failing costume shop while living with her depressed Dad. Faced with constant reminders of her sister’s successful family life she has lost all motivation for following her dream and finding her path in life as an artist.

When local filmmaker Maud Barnes comes into the shop looking for a werewolf mask, Roz’s dormant passion for SFX makeup and mask-making is awakened, and she embraces the opportunity to get involved with Maud’s indie horror film, hoping to find community in the crew and reconnect with an old crush.

However, Roz herself is changing… physically. And on the film set, a monstrous presence in the trees seems to be stalking her. It starts to become clear that the mask she has created has stirred something primal within her. While she clings onto the fragmenting pieces of her family, the film, and her body, people in the area start to go missing, while others are found attacked and left for dead.

Before she knows it, Roz is developing a hunger that she is struggling to satisfy. In a battle to save her own sanity, she starts to question: is staying human really worth it?
