Oi! Listen up, dwellers of Manchester (or the Greater Manchester area). This Friday Micah Yongo will be launching his debut novel, Lost Gods, in your fair city! The epic fantasy novel, which has been called “a strong work from a very promising new author” by Publishers Weekly, and “striking and thoroughly enjoyable” by Adrian Tchaikovsky, was published on July 5 so we wanted to celebrate its birth with a bit of a party. There will be prosecco, there will be beer and, if it’s more your thing, there will be soft drinks. Micah will also be interviewed about the book and will give a short reading. Lost Gods will be available for both buying and signing on the night. Friday’s launch will be at Chapter One Books on Lever Street in Manchester, 7.30pm 20 July. If you’d like a sneak peek of the novel before you head over to the event, or if you can’t make it but are still intrigued by this sweeping tale inspired by African folklore, then head over to our friends at the B&N Sci-Fi & Fantasy Blog, who showcased the first chapter for FREE.
