Job description

Watkins Media is an award-winning independent publishing house with a diverse portfolio of imprints, covering Self-Help & Wellbeing, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Thrillers, Radical Politics, and Cookery. We are seeking a creative, driven, and highly organised Senior Marketing Executive to join our dynamic team. This unique opportunity involves working across a wide spectrum of genres, from self-improvement and general non-fiction to cutting-edge genre fiction.

The Role

As a Senior Marketing Executive, you will take ownership of major campaigns, driving visibility and sales for our authors. You will act as a bridge between our authors, editorial & sales teams, and the public, ensuring every book gets the moment in the spotlight it deserves.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include creating and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, managing budgets, and coordinating with internal teams across a book’s lifespan. You will manage our digital presence, running targeted Amazon & Meta advertising. You will also curate newsletters for booksellers and influencers, produce high-quality assets using Canva and Photoshop, manage and create physical ARCs, and build strong relationships with authors and literary agents.

About You

You must be highly adaptable (able to market a cookbook one day and a sci-fi novel the next). Essential skills include 3-5 years of experience in trade publishing marketing, proficiency in Canva and Adobe Photoshop, proven digital savvy with Amazon Advertising (AMS) and social media strategy, excellent copywriting, and strong organisational skills for simultaneous campaign management.
